Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club was recently recognized among the upper echelon of golf facilities in the U.S. by the readers of Golf World in the magazine's second annual Readers Choice Awards.
Pawleys Plantation also ranked among the top 27 courses in the state of South Carolina, which boasts more than 360 quality layouts.
About being included in such a list, Director of Marketing at Pawleys Plantation, Jann Walker, told the Georgetown Times, “There was more competition for the awards this year, so it’s especially nice to rank so highly again.

According to Golf World, more than 46,000 votes and 600,000 criteria evaluations led to the magazine's Readers' Choice selections. The criteria evaluated by the readers were: Quality of course, Condition of course, Reputation/prestige, Golf practice facilities, Speed of play, Clubhouse/locker room, Hotel accommodations, Caddie program, Golf pro shop, Food/Dining, Off-course activities/amenities, Service and Overall value.
