Great ball-striking deserves a surface like this - quick, smooth, and true greens allow every golfer a chance for a rewarding fi nish on all 18 holes at the International Club of Myrtle Beach. Being known for having some of the fastest greens year round, this carefully manicured course will all but guarantee a great round for anybody playing here. Once architect Willard Byrd designed this course in 2000, he did so with the intent of creating a course that would be playable by all golfers. He did this by creating fi ve sets of tees, with the back tees measuring nearly 6,900 yards and the forward tees measuring 4,800 yards. Nestled among a mixture of hardwood and pine trees, the International Club also has an abundance of fi nger lakes that are fed by underground streams.
In April of 2006, the International Club came under new ownership thus making a committment to a higher standard of excellence. New owner Jack Davis commented, “We believe this course was built for golfers, period. We want to make it one of the best places in Myrtle Beach to play. Being a golfer myself, I guarantee you will have a wonderful time once you decide to spend your day with us.” Also owner of the famous Celebration Golf Club in Orlando, Florida and Crockett Ridge Golf Club in Tennessee, Mr. Davis is sure to see even more success at The International Club of Myrtle Beach in the near future.
